"Legislators represent people, not trees or acres. Legislators are elected by voters, not farms or cities or economic interests." Earl Warren

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Review the formal process for "How a Bill Becomes a Law" in California. Please note we do only a part of this in the Model Assembly. Click here. Also, take a look a even more simplified version. Click here.
2. Determine what the DQ is asking: What are the most significant features/characteristics of the city, and why? It is the role of the facilitator to make sure everybody is on the same page.
3. Collect information from online sources to help answer the DQ. I suggest to start with demographics, so you can see the make up of your city. Click here.
4. Work on the PowerPoint.
5. HWK: Complete the interview, finish the PowerPoint, and plan the presentation. The presentation is TUE (22), WED (23). Please review the technical.
