Hollywood Sign Hike: Plan Now!!

Time:  8:30 AM
Meeting Location:  Griffith Observatory Top Parking Lot (2800 E. Observatory Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027 
Distance: 6.2 miles round trip
Trail:

We start at the Griffith Observatory Parking lot as our meeting point and go up a slight incline around Mt. Hollywood (aka Dante’s Peak). Then we head over to the north side of hill to go on to the semi-leveled trail which will take us to the last hill.  Upon the arrival to the last hill, we will go up Mt. Lee until we get to the top where you’ll have an incredible view of the Hollywood Sign letters, Hollywood reservoir, and the surrounding cities.  We return on the slightly similar path, but it’s usually a bit easier once we get around the Dante’s peak area, where we will take an easier path down back to the trail head.

REQUIRED: 2 to 3 Liters of water, sunscreen, a good small lunch/snack for the midway point. Must have a light breakfast bite to prior to hike.
