Graduation is almost here!!

1. Graduation is Monday June 16 at 10 AM.  But you need to be there by 9:15 AM.   When I say there, I mean come up between building 97 (Carl's Jr) and building 5.   It is right above the graduation site and this is where we line up.  I will be there.

2.  There will a bottle of water under your seat at graduation.  Tell your guests however to bring their own water.  

3.  Graduation Cords:  I have them still.  If you are on campus this next week, go see Hunzeker, otherwise wait for me.

4. Graduation Robes, Tassels etc:   I received tassels.  So far, I have saved a tassel for Victor C, Paola, Lupe, Christine, Alexis, Ralph, Diego, Isaac, Junior, Xena, Daniel, Jackie G, Alfredo, Madisyn.

5.  Senior Breakfast Information:

Powderpuff Party

Hello, so how we decided in our brief meeting last week, our powderpuff party for the players will be held this Saturday, June 7th. It will be held @ Madisyn's house (we'll update w/ address) starting at 6 PM. We believe the party will better and more enjoyable for everyone if the people who are coming would contribute by bringing some food or drinks. Basically a pot luck style type of party.

On Monday June 2, seniors will be doing their dedications. Please be prepared with the 30 second dedication.   Paul will be recording you tomorrow during second block (and third block on Tuesday).  If you are not prepared, he may turn you away.

What is the dedication used for?

• It is played at graduation (June 16) from 9:15AM-10:00AM while we wait for graduation to start.

Graduation Information

When:  Monday June 16, 2014 at 10AM (seniors should arrive by 9AM and line up right above the graduation site between the two buildings.  You will see me up there).

The Graduation in a nutshell (subject to change):

1.  Line-up and walk in (stay standing)
2.  Eustacio goes directly up (from the walk in) to play the national anthem
3.  Principal Flores will thank Eustacio and ask to "Please be seated"
4.  Purther and Ortega will give the sign together signaling to all seniors to sit together
5.  Principal Flores will give the welcome
6.  Principal Flores will pass it off to the LACOE/Cal Poly Pomona Speakers
7.  Principal Flores will ask for the four student speakers to come to the stage and the four student speakers will give their speeches
8.  Principal Flores will then look to the Superintendent and Board Rep to award the diplomas.  Superintendent and Board Rep will accept the students and say the awarding start.
9.  Hanke will call the first row (only stand when your row is standing)
10.  All students walk up to get their diplomas and walk back down taking a photo with the Principal, then walk back to their seats following the path.
11.  Principal Flores will call up the senior class president (Regina Rizo) up to the podium and she will say a few words and ask seniors to turn their tassel to the left (hats go in the air), music for leaving starts, we walk out.

Bridge to Nowhere Hike

To get to the trailhead: From the 210 freeway in Azusa, take exit 40 north on Route 39. Drive 11.6 miles north, passing the East Fork Ranger Station at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. Pass San Gabriel Reservoir and turn right on East Fork Road. After 5.2 miles, when the road makes a sharp bend to the right, continue straight ahead on Camp Bonita Prairie Forks Road, sticking with the river for an additional 3/4 of a mile to the trailhead parking area.
