Purther:
• None. I suppose you could meditate on democracy on your free time...
Pittman:
•Remember to bring a graphing calculator to every class.
Ortega:
•Bring an SSR book.
•Get class form signed.
Piggott:
•None. I guess you could meditate on who you are in preparation for the sponge....
Senior Project:
•Get the accountability contract signed! It is due Wednesday, third block.
•Find at least 3 pieces of research on your topic for Research Check #1, this Friday.
-You will have to take Cornell notes in your project notebook during class.
-If you are one of those people who can finish the Bible in a day, bring more than three so as to take advantage of every drop of time provided, or else you shall receive the wrath of the Senior Spirit in the form of a grade deduction.
-Articles must be about 750 words or more (3+ pages worth). For the first research check, you can use one encyclopedia article. You aren't allowed to use encyclopedia articles in the future.
-Ah yes, and document your sources on a working bibliography. Here is a link to an example of said WB. Here is an example of where on your blog the WB should be located. The summary part of the WB on the 2013 blog is no longer on the WB in 2014. It should just be date, source ID and MLA.
•Blog 3 is due Friday by 8AM (refer to blog post below)
•I recommend you at least get the 11 by 17 paper for the Topic Art Poster.
•Bring a show and tell item that represents what you did for and learned from your summer mentorship on Friday. You will talk about it in front of class for a few minutes.
Young Scholar:
•For those first-time Scholars out there, there is a meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, in the computer lab I believe, at lunch.
Other Awesomeness:
•Bring what you promised to bring for the Grande Potluck (send purther a photo of the list)
